Maintenance (Deposit)

This service is for clients in need of maintenance at the roots of their locs. The Shampoo & conditioning service is included in the price.  

Please note the following:

Maintenance appointments can be booked up to 90 days out from today's date.

The price increases with the style, amount of newgrowth, and total quantity of locs. 

If you are interested in a style or add on service,  please make those selections at booking to ensure there is enough time allotted for your appointment.  

The service balance is due via cash or Zelle.

Methods:

Palm-rolling/ Retwist 

Starting price - $120

Deposit - $30

Duration- 3 + hours. *There is an additional fee of $15-$50 for clients with high loc quantities, excessive newgrowth, or extra long locs.*

Gel, oil, or rose water (depending on your preference) is used to coil your newgrowth into defined sections for a polished look.  This method is ideal for clients who prefer to wear loc styles and don't mind loose or frizzy roots in between appointments. 

Recommended frequency: every 5-8 weeks.  

Interlocking

​Starting prices: $150 Traditional (up to 150 locs) | $170 Mid-Range (151–250 locs) | $215 Micro locs (250+ locs)

​Deposit: $40

Duration: 1.5 to 3.5 hours

​*Final pricing is based on total loc count, density, and maintenance duration. Additional fees ($25–$185) apply for delayed maintenance past 8 weeks, first retightening after initial installation, loc repairs, or excessive slippage.*

​A latch or crochet hook is used to pass the ends of your locs through the roots in different directions until all the new growth is re-tightened. This technique does not require the use of gel, grease, oil, beeswax, or pomade. Interlocking is ideal for clients who need to shampoo their hair frequently without constant manipulation of the roots in between styles.

​Recommended frequency: every 5–8 weeks.

Crochet/ Instant locking 

Starting price - $250 (up to 70 locs)

Deposit - $80

Duration- 4 + hours. If you have a haircut, wicks, or extra large locs, the price will be based on the quantity of locs. 

*There is an additional fee of $50-$150 for clients with high loc quantities, excessive newgrowth, or locs in need of repairs.*

A crochet needle is used to instantly lock your roots. The overall appearance is similar to palm-rolling but it doesn't completely unravel when wet. This method is best for all hair types.

Recommended frequency: every 8-12 weeks.

Loc Styles (for all methods of loc maintenance): 

Two strand twists/ Braids- $30

Updo/ Barrels- $20

Bantu knotout- $50

Twist out/ Braid out- $50

*Please note that two strand twists and braids refers to the style after maintenance, not micro locs*.

Add-ons:

Loc detox - $50

Deep conditioning- $40

Repairs (fees applied at service completion):

$8/ spot repair (to fix soft areas in danger of breaking)

$10/ reattachment

To ensure smooth scheduling, please note that any arrival between 1 and 15 minutes past your scheduled start time will incur a $15 late fee, automatically applied to your balance. Arrivals exceeding 15 minutes will require rescheduling with a new deposit. If you anticipate being late, please email us immediately at Mukisalocs@gmail.com with your approximate ETA and a contact phone number. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

The deposit is non-refundable but will be applied to your service. A 48-hour notice is REQUIRED for appointment rescheduling, with no exceptions. You can reschedule ONE TIME with your deposit; the new date must be within 1 month of your original appointment. A canceled meeting, regardless of notice, will result in a forfeited deposit.
